Opposition Groups Challenge Mrs Jonathan to Debate with Soyinka.

Some Nigerian Opposition groups has joined issues with the wife of the President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs Patience Jonathan, to make herself available for a debate with Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
The call came after the First Lady's spokesmen responded to the numerous attacks and insults directed at her and her husband by Elder-statesman, Soyinka.
The First lady described the attacks on her by the renowned playwright as "regrettable and an embarrassment’’ for attributing the crisis rocking Rivers State to her and her husband with any valid prove.

The Opposition online tigers took to Twitter and other social media to voice their concern over the development, calling on Channels Television, to organise a debate for the First Lady and Wole Soyinka.

In any sphere of it, this call is the height of societal insensitivity and gross irresponsibility of the involved Nigerian opposition, who has no record of any Nigerian who is defending himself/herself being subjected to a public debate for whatever reason.
We should not forget that Soyinka has engaged in unprovoked and personal insult on the First Lady of the Federal republic of Nigeria since the last three weeks.

Soyinka is a Politician whose party, DFPF has unsuccessfully contested for various elective position in Nigeria of late and therefore any of his criticism is seen as having political coloration and bias.
For nearly two years now, Rivers state is the second home of Wole Soyinka, who has a blossoming relationship with Governor Amaechi and will do anything to defends his regular host.

Soyinka making frivolous or unsubstantiated remark against Nigerian First Lady and a wife of another Man, is un-Nigerian, ethically wrong, morally unbecoming and speaks volume of the types of elder-statesmen and leaders that Nigerians entrusted their affairs since the Independent
